Winchester OB/GYN Associates, P.C
To protect our patients' and staffs' health, safety, and wellbeing in the workplace, Winchester
OB/GYN Associates has developed new policies and procedures in accordance with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's recommendations and the Department of Public Health's Phase 2 Massachusetts reopening guidelines.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing us for your care! We have highlighted our office's COVID-19 patient safety policy below. We are devoted to caring for our patients in a safe and welcoming environment.
Patient Health Screening
Winchester OB/GYN Associates screens all patients over the phone for symptoms of or known exposure to COVID-19 prior to entering the office and again upon arrival at our office.
Personal Protective Equipment Requirements
Winchester OB/GYN Associates requires that all patients always wear mouth and-nose coverings in the office. All staff members are required to wear a surgical mask at all times in the office. A mask will be provided to anyone who arrives at the office without one.
Social Distancing Guidelines
Social distancing will be followed at all times by all people in the office. Social distancing involves several practices including not gathering in large groups, staying 6 feet apart from one another, and avoiding unnecessary personal contact (i.e., shaking hands, hugging, etc.). Our practice has adopted several administrative and environmental controls to facilitate social distancing.
Waiting Room Changes
Our practice has arranged the waiting room's seating area to adhere to social distancing guidelines. We schedule patients in a manner that minimizes the amount of wait time and the number of people at one time in the waiting room. Additionally, we have implemented physical barriers and floor decals to reinforce social distancing at check-in and check-out as well as enter and exit routes.
Our practice utilizes and prioritizes the use of telehealth services when clinically appropriate and feasible for a given patient. Telehealth services should try to be utilized for patient appointment such as string checks, birth control consults, fertility consults, and post-partum. We will prioritize which patients can be seen for in-office appointments based on urgency for care and risk assessment.
Cleaning and Disinfection
Our staff continues to practice our high-touch cleaning and disinfection standards. We use cleaning products that are approved for treating coronaviruses. We clean and disinfect all high touch surfaces frequently throughout the day. As always, all procedure and exam rooms are cleaned and disinfected in between patient appointments.
All staff members attest. All staff members wear at minimum a surgical mask in the office. Staff members wear additional personal protective equipment when appropriate.
Staff members wash their hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer before and after they care for a patient. Hand sanitizer is readily accessible for all patients throughout our office
At this time, we ask all patients attend their appointments by themselves.
